Name : Seeläsgen
Class : Iron, Coarse octahedrite IIICD
Region : Świebodzin, Zielona Góra, Poland
Date : Find: 1847
TKW : 102kg
Specimen was found last year, 8km from Przelazy town, where oryginal meteorite was found.
Its very special and interesting specimen, becouse it looks like throwed out from crater.
Perhaps this is proof that Seelasgen make somewhere crater. Everything in this specimen was
melted and heated so there is no normall Thompson pattern. Specimen was examined in
Silesia University in Sosnowiec, Poland.

This was endpiece from 1kg specimen found in 2005. This was the biggest specimen that was found
in last years. The same as my first Seelasgen, also this meteorite is highly shocked. Etched slices show destroyed Thompson structures and unusual etched pattern. |
