Classification: Lunar (troctolite melt breccia) W-low / S-modedate
Place/Time: 2025 in Ajdabiya, Libya
Mass: 900g
History: The meteorite was found during a search in Libya and subsequently purchased by the main mass holder.
Physical characteristics: Grayish rock lacking fusion crust.
Petrography: Melt breccia predominantly composed of up to 1 cm sized anorthosite clasts, up to 1 mm sized olivine aggregates, and rare low-Ca pyroxene grains set in abundant plagioclase-rich melt rock matrix. Olivine aggregates consist of numerous smaller subgrains. The matrix is mostly recrystallized to often acicular plagioclase crystals. Accessories include ilmenite, troilite, and FeNi metal.
NOTE: Full slices approximately 1.8 mm thick, covered with paraloid.
