Classification: Chondrite CM2, S1, W-low
Place/Time: 2026 in Gharyan, Libya
Mass: 970g

History: The meteorite was found during a search in Libya and subsequently purchased from a local dealer.
Physical characteristics: Several black rocks rocks almost completely covered with fresh fusion crust.
Petrography: Carbonaceous chondrite composed of small chondrules (apparent mean diameter about 270 µm), chondrule pseudomorphs, often compositionally zoned mineral fragments, and less abundant CAIs set into a fine-grained ferroan matrix containing sulfides and Ca-carbonates. Most chondrules are surrounded by fine-grained dust rims. Low analytical totals of matrix analyses indicate the presence of hydrous phyllosilicates.
Geochemistry: Matrix analyses yield an average total of 81.2±2.0 wt% (5 µm defocused beam, N=7)

Condition:  Super fresh CM2 with crust, preserved like a observed fall.
