Classification: Achondrite Diogenite S-low/W-mod
Place/Time: 2016 in Zagora Morocco
Mass: 773g

Physical characteristics: Light brownish to orange individual with some patches of fusion crust.
Petrography: The meteorite is a fragmental breccia predominantly composed of blocky up to 4 mm sized orthoproxene crystals. Minor phases include silica, chromite, troilite and metallic iron. Neither plagioclase nor olivine have been found in the section studied.
Geochemistry: low-Ca pyroxene: Fs27.5±0.4Wo4.0±0.4 (Fs26.7-28.0Wo3.2-6.8, n=22, FeO/MnO=27-32)

CONDITION:This material is very fragile, so before I could even consider polishing it, I had to use resin to bond the meteorite matrix on one side. Therefore, please note that some pieces of resin may be visible, especially on the polished side. However, this allowed me to create slices that are beautifully polished, even though this was theoretically impossible. The contrast between the polished and raw side is enormous.
